"Luigj Gurakuqi” University of Shkodra was established on 1957. It is one of the most important institutions in high public education in Albania, with high motivation and engagement in applying its obligations as a high educational institution and to best serve to its students and other interested persons. It offers possibilities in attending higher studies at university with various possible choices in its faculties and branches (6 faculties and 24 branches) and also through its programmes. This University is also known internationally because of much inter-university collaboration with many associates and collaborators all around the world. The Department of Physical Education and Sport, Faculty of Educational Sciences, has been established in 2006, including 9 full professors and 28 part-time academic staff, for a total of 365 students in the bachelor degree in Sports (3yr, 180 ects) or professional master in Physical Education and Sports (1,5yr, 90 ECTS)
